1859 Pistachio Flip
The original Maraschino Cherries
- 50ml Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
- 10 ml Pistachio syrup
- 1 Egg
- 12.5ml Sweet Vermouth
- 75 ml Italian beer reduction
I have been to Italy once and my most vivid memories of the holiday is having a nice refreshing Italian beer on the beach with pistachio ice cream.
- Make a reduction of Italian beer, to make a more concentrated bitterness to cut through the Luxardo Maraschino cherries and the pistachio,
- The sweet vermouth and full egg add a great depth and full bodied texture to the drink.
