La Famiglia Inspiration

My drink has drawn inspiration from the tragic history of the Luxardo family, which involves almost the whole family being drowned by the partisans including Pietro Luxardo; Nicolo II and his wife in 1944 during World War II. It was the end of the distillery until 1947 by Girogio Luxardo the only 4th generation brother remaining. Temporarily in Venice and finally moving to the perfect location Torrigela, Padova where it still stands today boasting over 20,000 cherry trees. My Drink a twist on a Blood and Sand, using classic Italian flavours such as bitter and dry orange, sweet cherries and spices.
