La Famiglia Inspiration

Growing up my family have always had fruit trees in the garden and when summer came there would be ample fruits such as cherries, apples, plums and pears. Due to the amount of fruit we would gather, my mother would always bake fruit crumbles for desserts (this would go on for weeks, if not months) and although me and my brother always disagreed with having fruit for dessert, we couldn't resist our mothers fruit crumbles, so my cocktail recipe is a 'take me back' to the days of my childhood and the coming together of the family at dinner time where we would share food, laugh and share stories of the day whilst watching the summer days draw to an end. I also incorporated the very special boutique gin that is made especially for the 'Hush Mayfair' bar which I feel like is my home from home and wanted to include them in my story of family traditions, also with the help of the already famous Luxardo family I feel I have created a well balanced and tasty cocktail perfect to represent the theme in this years competition.

Method

  • Shaken hard and double strained into a mini jam jar
  • Served with glass and jar on olivewood board, 3 cherries and twisted lemon peel to fragrance
